DCS Integrated Servo Drive Control System

Superior
SLO-SYN has developed a complete line of DCS (Drive Control System) models that
incorporate the MX2000 control technology. The DCS unit consists of an MX2000
control card and a servo amplifier in one package. Each DCS can operate an
additional amplifier or step motor drive for a complete two axis system. In
addition the MX2000-1C (MX1) control card is available separately for use in OEM
applications requiring a powerful one or two axis control.
The MX2000 control system contained in the DCS incorporates not only the Texas
Instruments TMS320C31 floating point, 32 bit, 33MHZ digital signal processor but
also has 256 Kbytes of "Flash" memory available for user program
storage. The supplied MX2000 windows based software simplifies programming from
a host computer through a serial port. With full servo and following
capabilities, the program facilitates easy-to-program servo gains and on-screen
servo auto-tuning with oscilloscope simulation.
The DCS provides you with a wide range of servo amplifier power levels ranging
from 6 to 110 Amps RMS. The servo amplifier section incorporates a built-in
microprocessor which implements a patented torque angle control for maximum
torque at high speeds. Superior SLO-SYN also offers a complete product line of
servo amplifier power supplies for use with all DCS models.
