MotionPlus® Remote Operator Interface Kit
The MotionPlus® Remote Operator Interface Kit is designed to provide remote access to the TDC Series, EDC Series and VRP 100 Digital Controllers.

The Keypad Kit allows mounting of the LCD screen and keypad assembly remote from the Controller unit to a distant location up to 250 feet from the Controller.

The Kit includes a protective cover, a panel mounting bezel and mounting hardware. An optional version of the Kit includes a back cover. The protective cover replaces the LCD screen and keypad assembly on the Controller unit. The LCD screen and keypad assembly, from the Controller, can now be mounted remotely, using the panel mounting bezel. Alternatively, the LCD screen can be assembled with the back cover to provide a hand-held remote interface. The remote interface is connected with a cable to the protective cover on the Controller.

XDC Remote Operator Interface Kit
The XDC Remote Operator Interface Kit is designed to provide remote access to the XDC Series of Direct Digital Controllers. The Kit provides an additional LCD screen and keypad assembly which can be located up to 250 feet from the Controller.

The Kit includes a keypad and LCD assembled to a bezel and mounting hardware. An optional version of the Kit includes a back cover. The keypad/LCD assembly can be mounted on a panel or assembled with the back cover to provide a hand-held remote interface. The remote unit is then connected to a serial port on the XDC Controller.

An option is available for connecting multiple remote units (up to eight) to one of the two serial ports of the XDC Controller. Consult Custom Servo Motors for details of this option.

MotionPlus® EDC 100 and EDC 200 Encoder Digital Controllers
The EDC Series of Motion Plus Controllers combines the high performance of incremental optical encoder position sensors with advanced direct digital servo control. Two models are available: the EDC 100 for single-axis control, and the EDC 200 for dual-axis control. Each EDC Controller is a self-contained unit, ready to work right out of the box. An integral keypad and LCD display are used for calibration, servo loop setup, programming, running programs, and monitoring.

EDC/TDC Software Support Package
The EDC/TDC Software Support Package is an off-line programming system for EDC or TDC Controllers. The package is designed to operate on IBM PC, XT, AT, PS/2 and 100% compatible computers. It allows you to create and store complete programming tasks in a single file called a program session.

A program session can contain one or more programs plus complete setup information for the EDC or TDC Controller. All of a session, or selected parts of a session, can be downloaded to the Controller. Likewise, all or part of a session can be uploaded from the Controller to the PC, ready for editing.

You edit a program by choosing commands from a menu (Figure 1). You set up parameters using a dialog box (Figure 2). A monitor feature allows you to monitor a range of controller parameters on one screen. (Figure 3). These include current axis position, error and status; flags; I/O points; and presets.

Each module is designed to help you adapt your motor control function in a different way, while always allowing you to maintain the same programming software and libraries.
